What to expect

Day Treatment (PHP) gives your daughter the structure and clinical intensity she needs — without overnight care. She will spend the day in therapy, skill-building groups, and academic support, then return home each evening. This level is a strong fit when weekly therapy isn't enough, but residential care isn't necessary.

  • Structured, full-day programming
  • Individual, group, and family therapy
  • Academic support + coordination with your teen’s school
  • Clinical and therapeutic support throughout the day
  • Step-down planning to IOP or step-up to residential if needed

Signs to Look For

Is Day Treatment the Right Fit?

1

Significant anxiety, depression, or emotional dysregulation

When symptoms are interfering with daily life and your daughter needs more support than weekly therapy can provide, full-day treatment offers consistent structure and clinical care.

2

Struggling to attend school consistently

If school attendance has dropped or academics are suffering, day treatment provides built-in academic support and coordination while addressing the underlying issues.

3

Unhealthy coping patterns or substance-use concerns

Day treatment helps teens develop healthier coping skills in a structured, supervised environment while remaining connected to their home and family.

4

Past self-harm, but can stay safe at home with support

For teens who have a history of self-harm but can remain safe overnight, day treatment provides intensive daily support without requiring 24/7 residential care.

5

Outpatient therapy alone hasn’t been enough

When weekly therapy sessions aren’t leading to progress, stepping up to full-day treatment offers the frequency and depth needed to build real momentum.
